- Tomi is out so there goes that... I don't think thrusting Kiwior in Anfield is a good idea, so no other choice but Zinchenko...
- we controlled Wolves and should have finished them off in the first 20 minutes but well, it is what it is.
- Luton... *shakes head* 3 points... *shakes head*
Villa next so fingers crossed.
Our strikers are hitting the shots so that's always good, I hope they keep on scoring
Aston Villa, Liverpool & West Ham are dangerous
- they will try to pin our midfield, with Partey's condition still unknown, Jorginho needs to be at the top of his game which is worrying. He is pretty much a glaring weak spot cause we all know he is slow, but if he can get his passing game going, he can do his job.
- defensive wise, Tomiyasu over Zinchenko for these 3 matches I guess, he has proven he can contain Salah last year. And after the disaster Zinchenko did against Kudus earlier this season, yeah no.

Wolves & Brighton play attacking football, our control football should be able to stifle them out. Again, gotta watch for their wingers. Hwang, Neto, Mitoma, Fati/March. stifle them, and we should be able to take them out.

If we don't get 3 points against Luton, we shouldn't be anywhere near top 4.

Our strikers aren't striking goals so there's a worry we can't score.
a loss at Villa, goal came from the left again but that's not the problem in that match, our finishing were off.

a win at Brighton, again the problem was our finishing where at one point I guess around 50th minutes or something where we had 15 shots with about 5 on targets and 0 goals.
The goal came from Brighton's error allowing Jesus to head into empty net. Havertz goal came because Brighton had to push up... we are also kinda lucky Brighton didn't score on their first counter

Both matches have worrying signs about our finishing

Next match, Liverpool in Anfield, at the moment of writing they are 2nd with 1 point difference. The key to the match is being clinical and contain Liverpool's wingers and wing backs, especially TAA. Martinelli needs to keep him occupied. Their midfield will press our midfield and honestly I think we need a control type players to control the pace. Jorginho hasn't been playing so I am not recommending him. ESR probably?
Honestly I would take a draw but looking at the table, a draw would not be enough. A must win game thanks to our slip up at Villa Park

After Liverpool, West Ham comes to visit us, a seriously must win game, a draw or worse, a loss would be catastrophic. And West Ham is not a pushover this season, they already trashed us once.
Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta are hitting their forms while we can't overlook JWP providing set pieces.

Playing Arsenal away is a whole different prospect than playing them at home in a mini cup with a second string side starting

Otherwise pretty good post, but there's no way this is "a must win game" away at Anfield at the half point of the season, when leading the league. A must win game would suggest that the closer to the end the match is, Arsenal would start attacking like crazy even if they lost it, because they must win it. They don't, a draw is a great result, and at this point of the season even a loss isn't a catastrophe.

Also no way Arteta starts ESR against Liverpool away after not playing much at all in recent year. It's Havertz who will start and provides an outlet for long balls to evade press.

you guys don't realize position 1-5 only separated by 6 points and Liverpool is 2nd by 1 point? we don't have any room to breathe. Every game is a must win game.

I am just gonna sit back about Havertz discussion, one thing your own post says he is not a control type player, and yes I agree. Also, that's just what I think who should play, Arteta gonna play Havertz

ESR isn't either and hasn't got enough match sharpness for Anfield.

You have a very weird definition of a must win game.

Havertz absolutely is a control type player imo, but he offers defensive control alongside a DM like Rice where you are physically imposing yourself on the opposition midfield, something we've not had for a good while honestly. Even last season we had technical control of opponents but could still be bullied at times, but now we have technical and physical superiority in midfield in every game.

When I say control type player, I mean someone like Denilson, Jorginho, basically a side way passer. Player that slows tempo down to a halt. Havertz is not that kind of player.
Liverpool loves fast paced games, we should keep the tempo slow and boring and hold the ball as much as possible

what more can I say.... JWP set piece is great. We could use a set piece specialist....

6 matches
3 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses

this could have been better, could have been worse...

Yeah I really hate it when people call every game a must win game, the reality is you can afford to not win around 8-10 games in a season and still win the league.

Arsenal Quotes

One of the things I discovered in Japan was from watching sumo wrestling. At the end you can never tell who has won the fight, and who has lost, because they do not show their emotion because it could embarrass the loser. It is unbelievable. That is why I try to teach my team politeness. It is only here in England that everybody pokes their tongue out when they win.
