I know raul and edu won't do something rush it's rarely go well but 5 points against Bournemouth Sheffield wolves and Crystal Palace is just good enough for team that looking for to finish 4th. Think this is the problem. Look how easily other teams play through our midfield and compare that to how we struggle to find passing lanes and labour to get through teams. It's like night and day.

We give up the width by playing all centre midfielders instead on natural wingers in an attempt to be more solid, yet we’re always sliced open straight through the middle with one pass or run , it never works so why not play with width and actually give the other team something to worry about

As others have mentioned midfield is a real problem. Pushing one or both CMs forward into congested areas both deprives us of outlets from the back and leaves us woefully exposed on turnovers.

It’s all compounded by our random use of different players in critical wide positions.

Xhaka was awful under Wenger as well. Emery isn't good enough but the players shouldn't get a free pass. The club needs to upgrade in both departments.

Under Wenger this will never happen yes we couldn't defend with him but when we winning at home we just kill the other team and not allow 21 shots or being slow going forward

What was the point of a diamond today? Constantly changing players, tactics and formation every single game makes it impossible for the players to get any kind of momentum going. The next manager should have a clear formation for the most part. It´s ok to be changing it up away to city and pool but 95 % of the games should be the same formation and the same 6-7 players.
