Disappointing. Fame panned out mostly as Palace would have wanted, you knew what they'd try and they mostly succeeded. Only when we played at a higher tempo, pressing high up and boxing them in, did we threaten to score but there was not enough of that. Only maybe 20 minutes perhaps.

Tierney was badly missed.

At what cost man. At what cost? The left back was having a bad game but we were yet to concede. Putting Saka there removes one of the few quality attacking options we have. Its the equivalent of putting Gareth Bale at LB. He can do a job yes but its not where you play him if you want to win the game.

The way AMN was playing it was only a matter of time before we conceded. You can blame Pepe for not being as effective as our academy product. Also highlights the need to sign a left back.

First time ever Arsenal have failed to score against Palace at home in the PL. Another record @boxerumble

Arteta says freshness was missing today... Maybe shouldn't have started with such a strong team against Newcastle

Not too surprising having watched the Newcastle game. We lack creativity, and without Tierney that was even more obvious.

Expect more of the same vs Newcastle in the league, this time without extra time...

You could see where this game was going after 15 minutes when we were playing 30 passes in our own third before crossing the halfway line.

Xhaka and Holding were very good. Saka and Leno decent too.

The rest not up to the required standard.

there was an interesting moment around ‘85 when we had a corner and Holding was goofing off and smiling with Kouyate and David Luiz told him to get his head in the game and be serious.
