To be fair, when Wenger joined the club, if we told the fans that for 4 years consecutively Arsenal finish about Manchester United in the Premier League, they would have viewed this differently.

Then we tell them that the fans abused Wenger and drove him out of the club for underperformance, after 22 yrs of service.

The goal posts shifted and times changed, but Wenger pretty much ticked off most of the boxes in his to-do list.

Look at Man U now, led by a mercenary manager, no style of play, dependent upon taking our wantaway stars to give them some cutting edge.
