Arsenal

* Jens Lehmann (6) nothing to do
* Emmanuel Eboue (7) one of our better players
* Kolo Toure (7) good game
* Philippe Senderos (7) played well
* Gilberto (6) came alive in the second half
* Francesc Fabregas (7) done well, second half was alot better for him
* Mathieu Flamini (6) done his job well
* Alexander Hleb (6) not one of his better game
* Robert Pires (6) done the marking job well, but nothing else spectacularly
* Jose Reyes (6) came alive in the last half hour
* Robin Van Persie 82 (6) not enough time
* Thierry Henry (7) worked hard

* Arsène Wenger (6) the formation clearly wasn't working, and if not for players standing up to be counted we could've been punished, we lacked rhythm and looked off the pace for most of the game, he also left it all too late to make the changes, but a win means you're right irrespective of hindsight.

* MOTM: Francesc just edging it over Eboue for me.

Mate you are full of crap Arsène wengers formation didnt work, when you win it means your formation has worked, especially 2-0 Fabregas was amazing, eboue was menacing on the side, reyes drew a red card thats is percect isnt it???

Think your being a tad harsh on a few players and some could be bumped up to 8's. We made a world class team look average once again in a brilliant team peformance however, well done lads.

When I saw the title of this thread, and then the author I really don't know what caused me to open it and read.

Dude, Arsenal played very well, albeit Juve were as bad as the majority of your posts.

Felt it was a bit too harsh to criticise Wenger. Juventus had less than five shots on target as opposed to our 8 or more. The scoreline was already flattering Juventus. We could had been 3-4 goals up if we did our finishing.

Have to say the players were really up for it and our confidence is sky high. Here's to a great season!

Sabre mate, leave it tonight.

They were poor, no doubt. We made them look like boys out there, and we are dominating european midfields with 3 players who are younger and much fitter than their counterparts. :D

You're such a miserable sod Sabre

So many contenders for MoTM, just the way I like it.

Lehman 7 - nowt to do

Toure 9 - just a Rock, amazing tackles
Sendeor 8 - Solid, dependable, strong. Did anything for the cause
Flamini 8 - best game yet as LB
Eboue 8.5 - Revelation, Lauren is not getting his place back

Pires 8 - Rolled back the years, clasic Pires
Hleb 7- finally an assist, worked his bu**ocks off, poor passing still
Gilberto 8 - brilliant defensively
Reyes - a constant nuisance, got under their skins and worked hard
Cesc 9.5 - awesome stuff from the 18 year old, super goal, super assist, and nutzed Paddy -- MotM for me

Henry 9 - the big game choker strikes again, brilliant!

WENGER - 10/10 (correct in all areas)

I woke up at 3am to watch this match in Asia, I don't give a ****..... if our opponents were poor. We punished them... and made it count (although at the last minutes we could have capitalised on their 9 man team). I will be though angry if Arsenal sit back and not qualify for the next round.

LAcking speed?! Which game did u watch mate?

Well, it's sabre's opinion if Wenger got it wrong or right tactically. But one thing's for sure.

The kids have proven that Wenger was right in giving youth a chance.

(p/s: I'm sure Sabre was only giving the halfscores since the job is only half done. By that logic, Cesc scored 14/10  At least that's my opinion.)

I agree with that. Maybe an 8 for Hleb though.

Sabre's havin' a laugh.

nobody performed below an 8 tonight. Toure, Cesc and Gilberto were amazing for me; make of that what you will.

I love this. Trying to look all cool and blase about it.

I can imagine it now...."Yeah yeah, was alright performance, yeah Im cool I know loads about football and I can analyse every f'ing second of every players performance".

Get a grip you boring cynical old sod.... I think people who have played/coached top flight football for the good part of their whole life are more justified on passing comment on individual/team performances. And they all said it was a great performance. We made a much better team than us look utterly terrible. Its not about Juve not turning up, we didnt allow them too. Period.

Run along now little man.

Lehmann - 6 Nothing to do but solid when called upon.
Eboue - 7 Brilliant. Bursts forward are a joy to watch.
Toure - 8 LEGEND.
Senderos - 8 WON EVERYTHING.
Flamini 7.5 - Flew in to challenges and put his heart and more in to this game. Sabre's rating of a 6 is a joke tbh.
Pires 6.5 - Brilliant sliding tackle (yes, really) for the first goal and worked hard. Even won a header over Vieira!
Gilberto - 6.5 Sloppy passing but tackled well and was generally solid.
Hleb - 6.5 Sloppy passing and in the first half he had a period of about 15 mins where he consistently lost the ball everytime he got it! Yet he created our first meaningful opportunity and ran himself in to the ground. Also played the ball for Fabregas for the second goal. Will have better nights.
Fabregas - 8.5 What to say? F'in sensational.
Reyes - Dived around a lot which we come to expect but was full of running and his passing was good.
Henry 7 - Started off poorly and tried those one touch flicks too often which frustrate the life out of me, but came in to the game more and more. Took his goal well and always looked like he'd score or create another.
