Toure - 8 - Skipper played solidly

Senderos - 5 - Looked dodgy and rightly sent off

Flamini - 9 - Not preferred position but looked brilliant.

Cesc - 9 - Excellent Goal and switched on to assist Rosicky

Gilberto - 8 - Solid in midfield and slotted in defense well after Senderos' blunder

Rosicky - 8 - Good link up play and switched on for goal

Hleb - 7 - Decent, held the ball well

RVP - 8 - Linked up well, won peno well

Ade - 6 - Good link up play but poor final ball everytime and pussied out of a chance in first half

Almunia - 7 - Good performance aside from his positioning and parry on the free-kick, which almost gifted Portsmouth a goal.

Clichy - 6 - Excellent attacking performance; tirelessly patrolling the flank as usual and he made our first goal. This was offset by being at fault for Portsmouth's goal, and he got a bit of a roasting by Utaka.

Toure - 9 - Absolutely outstanding. Saved our skins so many times.

Senderos - 4 - Dreadful error.

Flamini - 7.5 - Very good performance overall, tireless and threatening going forward, mostly good defensively but he had a few positional/offside lapses.

Gilberto - 7.5 - Good performance in midfield and generally did very well at the back, though there were a few nervy moments.

Fabregas - 9 - MOTM. Ran the show, outstanding.

Rosicky - 8 - Very bright performance, and ran and battled until the end. Good goal, great game.

Hleb - 6 - Quiet game, he was peripheral until he was substituted.

van Persie - 6 - He did well to win the penalty, but didn't do a great deal else.

Adebayor - 6.5 - He ran his socks off and offered a valuable outlet to the team especially in the second half, but his quality in the final third was lacking.

Denilson, Diaby - 7 - They did well to kill the game off when the came on. Diaby had his typical game - brilliant footwork, occasionally poor passing. Missed a sitter, but had some great moments elsewhere.

Eduardo - Not on long enough for a rating.

Almunia - 7 One iffy-ish save but aside from that he was solid and handled some pretty difficult shots well. No chance with Kanu's goal.

Flamini - 8.5 Brilliant display. Solid defensively, got forward well and really worked is socks off when we went down to 10 men.

Toure - 8.5 An absolute rock. Put his body in the way to save us more than once.

Senderos - 6 Played well but the sending off was clumsy in both his positioning and the way he gave away the foul.

Clichy - 7 Finally produces a decent ball and Diaby fluffs it.. He may never bother again! Seriously though, full of energy and played well. Quickly becoming the best left back in the league in my opinion.

Gilberto - 6.5 Tidy and sturdy and is vital to the side right now for his heading ability. One or two errors when he moved to CB that could have proved costly.

Hleb - 6 Obviously not feeling well at all (an indication of how important Wenger rates him), and it showed in his performance. One or two little moments of quality but overall subdued. Still did a job though.

Fabregas - 7 One horrible bit of play that put us under some real pressure but he was classy today. Scoring too, which is a good sign.

Rosicky - 8 Much better from Rosicky. Another goal and a great performance. Worked tirelessly after Senderos got sent off to ensure we came away with 3 points. Let's just hope he can stay fit!

Van Persie - 5 Not his best performance. Struggled to have any real impact apart from winning the penalty.

Adebayor - 5 Good penalty but he frustrates me. He has no idea about the offside rule and his off the ball movement along the opposition's defensive line when we're breaking is horrible.

Denilson - 6.5 Came on and did a solid job.
Eduardo - 5 Hard for him to get in to the game but ran around upfront and gave Pompey no time on the ball.
Diaby - 6 Great skills and really contributed to us holding on but his final ball is really sloppy it's shocking. He also should have scored.

flamini - 8 - great stamina, solid
toure - 7 - solid but at fault for senderos' red card for not holding the line
senderos - 6 - unlucky for the red card
clichy - 7 - his 1v1 defending is dire. he got beat every time by utaka and he overcommits and dives in, giving the other team loads of space and forcing the rest of our defence to shift over and opening gaps as a result. we wouldve been punished on our left side by a better team

rosicky - 7.5 - didnt defend as well as he couldve in the 2nd half, but he was probably shattered from playing a man down
van persie - 6 - quiet again
adebayor - 6 - great effort but a bad day at the office, his touch was poor all day

diaby - 7.5 - wouldve been an 8 if he played for longer. made some great challenges, won balls in midfield and really shouldve scored

I thought Flamini was worth an extra man after Senderos had departed. We have a decent group of versatile young players who can play all over the place in Flamini, Diarra, and Denilson.
