Reyes in this month's Four Four Two

I don't know whether this has already been posted, but Reyes is on the cover of the new edition of Four Four Two, the glossy football magazine. The interview with him is very revealing and frequently hilarious. He seems to find everything funny. Apparently, he is living in Cockfosters, and the interview is conducted in his home, which is unusual.

He hangs around with Lauren a lot, unsurprisingly given that they are both from Seville. He says the first few days at Arsenal were horrible, largely because of the whether, but he got over it quickly. He comes across as an engaging personality. It's compulsory reading for any gooner.

Is this article available online by any chance? (Sorry if it sounds like a silly qu but I'm not familiar with Four four two)

He seems like a person who really enjoys the game, even when he misses chances he is smiling! Good to see tbh, too many players look all upset and sulky these days.

No, I don't think it is available online. Four Four Two will be in any newsagents though, so look for it the next time you're in one. He's on the cover next to Okocha. It's the only serious football magazine out there (there used to be one called Total Football - exact same format - but it went bust). Here are some quotes:

On english beer: "The beer here! Bloody hell! It's incredible. You get one of those glasses...it's half a litre or something. Madness"

On his medical, which took place at 6am: "Yeah, six o'clock. In. The. Morning. In the freezing cold. Tough? You're telling ME it was tough. I had to go throug it - it nearly bloody killed me!"

At school, he also told his english teacher that there was no point in learning english as he would never go to england!

Reyes seems to enjoy the warming up and training part of the game more than anyone else.

Reyes seems to enjoy pretty much everything more than everybody else. Well, except maybe Kolo as well. He's certainly the only player i've ever seen who grins when some dumb schmuck (hello Mr Scholes!) kicks him halfway back to Spain.

Cheers for the info JGooner - i will go into WHSmith's tomorrow, read it, and then leave.

its true. when he and Lauren were warming up before the game, doing a kind of jostling/chasing thing, Reyes looked like a puppy ready to chase a stick. tell you what though, he is bloody good. He is going to shine this season

I must also confess to being a bit of Smith's bandit. Good stuff!

I'm not sure i've ever actually bought anything from WHSmiths. I just read stuff in there and **** off. If you don't fold the pages too much the staff don't bother you.

Passes the time waiting for trains.

there used to be this mag called 90 Minutes which was really good too but it went bust i think...

been too poor to buy mags now, but will check out 442 for sure!
