The Championship 2019/20

The White Pelè

Human Highlight Reel
It started yesterday with a bang. 3-3 between Luton and Middlesbrough.

As always, it's the most difficult league to predict. I go with:

Nottingham
Leeds
Bristol City
WBA
Fulham
Brentford

The White Pelè

Human Highlight Reel
Both Fulham Cardiff lost on the debut. Stoke lost As well. Charlton, Birmingham, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea win, instead. Nottingham-WBA now.

All three of last year's Prem clubs lost. Not the best start from them.

Went to the Swansea game on the weekend instead of Shrewsbury as I got a free ticket from a friend.

Swansea are going to struggle this year even though they won, with McBurnie and James gone they looked really reliant on Dyer and Borja Baston which is worrying.

Hull just looked sh*te.

The White Pelè

Human Highlight Reel
Cardiff and Fulham back to the winning way , while Huddersfield draw. Stoke still struggling, as they lost to Charlton. Hull, Brentford, Preston and Sheffield Wednesday all win, instead. Bristol, Derby and WBA draw.

Mods can we rename this the Football League thread?

Anyway Sol has left Macclesfield after pulling off a miracle job and keeping them up last year. They’re facing a winding up order so Sol is probably looking to get out now and secure a better job.

The English Football thread can encapsulate all tiers if you want to talk about that.

Huddersfield vs Fulham is quite good so far, open game.

Been impressed with Huddersfield so far this year.

Arsenal Quotes

I still have an interest in training and development, in the stages that make it possible for players first to acquire technique (between 7 and 12) and then to develop physically (between 12 and 16), then to deepen their mental resilience (between 17 and 19) and finally between 19 and 22 to acquire what is critical, like the roof of a house without which all the rest rots away: intelligence and motivation
