Chelsea PL champions then!
Chelsea PL champions then!
Squad value per accounts = Cost of the squad - Accumulated depreciation?? So Chelsea then has a higher value than City and Dortmund higher than Bayern Munich??
How Bayern have just dominated the CL so far down on the wages is incredible. To think Ivan Bumnidis thought we would be the next Bayern.
If only the unity provided more money from the top.

Okay let go through your listings one by one:I f*cking hate this whining for more money from our fans
1. Money is not the problem
2. There are plenty of successful clubs who are self sustained
3. Being a buyers clubs is far from the club values
Okay let go through your listings one by one:
1. How is money not the problem it's clearly lack of fund and a messed up wage structure that has gotten us where we are
2. If X is successful doing something it doesn't guarantee Y of being successful just because they are doing the same thing
3. What does this even mean?
Name any club in the EPL that has consistently sustained a challenge for a place in the top 4 whose squad cost was outside the top 4.1. Money is not the problem
2. There are plenty of successful clubs who are self sustained
Exactly the problem. Like Poch at Sp**s, the moment he looked like he'd slip from the top 4 they sacked him. Spending 6th ffs! Nobody seems to understand football . . owners, fans, the lot.Don’t want to be negative but we’re back to the Wenger days. We have a manager in charge who is expected to punch above his weight with little or no support.
Yeah, it's called 'panic'. No faith in the man. Many a time Wenger looked like nowhere near the top 4, but rose like cream to the top eventually.Tbf, I think Potch's head had gone at Sp**s...their league form from January 2019 on was relegation form, seemed a disconnect with the players and you can't get rid of all of them, so the manager had to go imo.

Only two answers
1. Wenger 2004 - 2016 which was ridiculous and will never be repeated
2. Pochettino 2015-2019 which was excellent
And that's because they were spending 5th and 6th for some of that period and had incredible managers who over performed.
Money is nearly everything.
**** wage bill. The only objective measure we have of player quality is what people are prepared to pay for them in an open market. It's not perfect, sometimes paying over the odds, sometimes getting a steal, but it averages out. The overall price a club pays for a the 25 man squad is the best measure of a clubs investment in the team.We have top 4 highest wage bill and net spend over the last seasons. If you look at the way Gazidis and Sven/Raul spent money it’s obvious it’s the way we spend money that’s holding us back. Not the amount put in by Kroenke

On that count last year we were 5th. This year I'll wait for the CIES figures. Net spend is irrelevant for numerous reasons.
2020 wage bills are here. Looks like we're 5th on that too.“**** wage bill” Our wage bill is bigger than our transfer budget. I’m arguing that our performance is not about Kroenke investments. Not what’s the most accurate predictors for league position
