Gabriel got caught in between two minds between going and staying for the Thiago goal but equal blame should be placed on frickin Özil for not pressing Xabi Alonso in our own final third, should never be that easy to pick a 10 yard pass to the center forward, and also Xhaka not sticking with the deep runner (Thiago). Not rating Gabriel is fine but there were two errors prior to the goal which left him exposed. I think his performance was the least of our problems today.

Kos and Alexis the only two to show up for us tonight. We fell apart defensively as soon as Kos went off. Everyone else was poor but in particular Gibbs, Bellerin and Coquelin were out of the depth.

I remember Hummels saying that teams usually defend like crazy and don't want to play ball. Arsenal would be different.

And how we were different..

Only the FA Cup left to go for this season, and with all the other big teams still in it, I'm struggling to see us going far, in case we get past Sutton.

What really hurts is that even if you think it isn't going to go well playing away to Bayern with our current team. Somewhere deep down you always hope that the team will surprise you and turn in a really solid performance.

It is the fault of Wenger even though we faced a team that is far superior than us in every aspect. I have seen teams of lesser quality than us give bayern a hard time and not lose with the score line we did. We were disorganized everywhere on the pitch and everyone knew that Özil was going to be useless here. Was hoping that Welbeck and Elneny come on for Özil and Iwobi. This game just made me to give up.

Actually, it was Mustafi who failed to pick Thiago's run. He was busy yelling at Bellerin. Someone posted the gif earlier here. That was farcical.
