He is a winger. That is his best position. But part of the reason he's so desirable, and expensive, is his versatility, he's can play as an CAM and a CM, and has done before.

We didn't yet make a bid for Mahrez it's all guess work we are just interested that's all.

We need somebody who is an upgrade on Ramsey, not just somebody who can compete with him.

That's what it looks like to me as well. Wenger better have two different tactical plans prepared for both players. They don't play the same positions and their skill set isn't interchangeable.

I think we will buy lemar for cm/lw and mahrez as alexis replacement if he were to leave. So both if alexis leaves but only lemar if he stays.

He's a natural finisher, there's not many of them around in world football at the price he's going for.

If Wenger decides to cash in on Alexis, then I could understand going for both. Probably though, Wenger is expecting both bids or one to be knocked back.
