This is honestly scary to think about, and quite easy to happen--even with referees.Reckon this is a bigger problem than people think tbh, from my time playing it was rampant but we weren't exactly making life-changing money so the direct impact of these things were much bigger.
I've personally seen criminal elements try and force people to do dodgy things. The problem with this kind of stuff is in terms of betting the size of the specific game barely matters outside of betting sides putting up red flags if huge bets randomly come in on some Taiwanese 4th tier matches, so gangs can somewhat easily get in direct contact with players, their families etc.
All the more baffling that football allow betting companies to advertise.
