A d they would fire him shortly after, Barca would never tolerate a single collapse or numerous long losing streaks we tolerated or multiple no trophy campaigns

King Kai and Super Mik will both be coaching and starting at The Arsenal next season mate, deal with it...

Jesus' finishing struggles and Eddie's lack of scoring on the road does make Kai look better, agreed.

As mentioned, we've shown we are better than Liverpool and defeated City.

If you go to the Champions League, a different brand of ball, it is much tougher. It is why City under Pep has only won 1 CL vs the multiple PL titles. Some will say he didn't win the CL until he got Haaland. Fair enough.

We'll see how we fair down the stretch.

Think we can all agree he isn't a midfielder. He sucks at it. Lacks the skills for it. It took Arteta a while (half a season) to finally get the hint his desires wouldn't be fulfilled with Kai becoming a world class at midfield, better yet serviceable.

Kai's recent resurgence at CF could be a purple patch or it could be the real thing. If it is the real thing, we'll be a better team for it.
Fair enough, but the test is now. If we fail again at the end of season to win anything then it is another wasted opportunity

He is starting ahead of which top players? He played as left back last game for Germany and half the season he played as midfielder for us. So he is not this automatic starter. Let’s see when we have fully fit Jesus where he starts
No one said he’s an automatic starter. I literally wrote we need to buy a striker for competition.

He's proving himself to be far from a flop signing but to be brutally honest I don't see him being a starter up top for too long, it's an area Arteta is going to look to improve on.

He'll be a useful rotation player long term though. I'm happy with that.
Not sure actually, took a long time to build his confidence / form up to something respectable. Would he maintain that on (off) the bench?

Rotational player in a title challenging team (City) is something totally different than the same for a worse team.

He is now over the Chelsea slump. He has the support of the fans now, so one of the only reasons his confidence can go down is if he performs very badly.

But that is not related to him being a rotational player who competes for his place. He can lose confidence like this even if he starts every game.

Even as a rotational player he will likely play in almost every game. His price and wages demand it. And his level.

Not according to Arteta. A versatile player who can rotate also midfield when there is more creativity below him.
True but even when he is in “midfield” he plays as a shadow striker behind a rooming forward as jesus or trossard. So more as a second forward with more a midfield approch of the ball.

This true and also now a common tactic by the top teams. Pep does it with Alvarez and Klopps sometimes with Gakpo. Even the classic example is Muller. I think because of the inverted FB it allows these sides to get an extra attacker in there but one who can also do some midfield duties depending on the situation.

4-4-2 with Alvarez and Haaland or with Gakpo and Nunez aren't the most effective tactics it looks and with a 4-4-2 Arsenal was sacrificing Ødegaard and Martinelli. Ødegaard too deep to make an impact and Martinelli without any type of help. These are arguable the two best attackers of Arsenal last season.

Havertz can't do midfield tasks unlinke Muller too, let take a look of Thomas Muller stats like number of touches, progressive actions, key passes or passing ability, they are closer to someone like Messi than Havertz. Thomas Muller actually can play as a 10 or as a 9.5. Havertz is a false number 9 at his best, at midfield he is detrimental.

Win aerial duels, body combat with defenders, protect the ball, running in the last line, ball pressing, good technique for a striker (but not for a midfielder), that is Havertz best points. Arsenal can make a good use of him as a ST.... at maximum rotation with Ødegaard as a RCM where he feels more natural bc of angles and that kind of stuff... in the LCM position he is a nightmare for the team.

I believe 2024 football is no longer an era that use a fixed formation on paper and on the field.
A lot of times we see players interchanging their positions, and make changes and decisions whatever dynamics changing on the field.

After moving Kai to our CF position he has really impressed me especially with his work ethic & a bit of his better finishing but it just makes me wonder, considering we are after a more specialist striker this summer, would that move him back into the midfield a bit or would we intend to keep him there now & rotate him with the specialist striker if we sign someone? If we get someone like Isak, Gyokeres, Sesko, Osimhen etc I'd certainly want to get rid of GJ I think. He has good skill but he hasn't done enough for us this season & he might get us a good fee aswell.
