20:00 kick off, so no sunlight in this for Casper to go missing as every dog in the PL will be watching this game closely on a Friday night after a long week at work:

If Saliba isn’t fit then I’d start with this:

Trossard
Martinelli Ødegaard Jesus
Zinchenko Jorginho
Tierney Gabriel White Partey
Ramsdale
Partey can invert during the game next to Jorginho with Tierney playing in a 3 at the back similar to what Pep is doing. We’ll have more bodies in the middle of the pitch and dominate the game imo which we’ve been lacking in recent games.

This is our best time to try something different and be creative before we go to the Etihad.

Arsenal 4-0 Southampton

Let’s FOGGIN DO THIS!!!!!!

This is the game where we should do something about our goal difference. Easy win and build-up some confidence for the Etihad. City play one day later at Wembley.

1. Arsenal 32 - 77
2. City 30 - 70

No matter how you look at that, it's a ****ing good position to be in.

A scoreline like the one when Southampton first visited The Carpet needed here...

...now that's PROPER commentary!

This game is do or die, we have no chance if we don't win this one, problem is we don't have the best goal record against these guys despite being way down the bottom, last time we played I think it was 0-0 unfortunately. They know how to defend against us which will make it difficult if we play like we did after it got to 2-2 against WHU.

A nice win at home will hopefully restore some confidence and the knack of winning again. An easy 3-0 would be nice, but I'd take a scrappy 1-0. Would like to see a clean sheet.

Forget goal difference. 1-0 TH14 style handball into the net after being outplayed is completely acceptable, with VAR going offline at that moment due to a targeted DDoS attack.

Really need Saliba for this game to get him ready for City. Even if he can only play the last 20 mins or something.

I still believe defense wins you titles. That Saliba/Tomiyasu injury combo made things really complicated for us. With Rob' in defense we can't play a high line, can't fully dominate anyone and we are conceding left, right and center every game now.

Give Saliba some injections (if there is limited long term risk). Zinchenko also needs to man up. Can't be taking game off now just for "precaution" like yesterday. He should have been on the bench even for the last 15 mins.

Im expecting similar style win of last few home games score 2-3 goals concede sloppy one and score late goal.

Southampton are absolutely poverty so even with holding we might come out with clean sheet

Think this coming on a Friday is good for the players as they won't have too much time to dwell on the last two games and a chance for redemption comes up quickly.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
