You see local lad players moving away from there beloved clubs, why you think Sanchez wouldnt want to tripple his wages and play for a club who propably will be favorite to challenge citeh next year. Dude is 29 and its his last payday and chance to win something. We payed bucks for him and he played his heart out every game its his decision where he wants to move. I have no regrets about him leaving.

Chelsea will be the favorites with their new manager.

My 2 cents on Sanchez.

Definitely not a mercenary and don't like this revisionist history of him being a selfish player.

Sanchez wants out because the 4 years he's spent here, Wenger has proven that this is not a top club, but more importantly, a club that doesn't want to make the changes to be a top club.

Mark my words, had we won the PL the year Leceister won it & if we were in the CL this year, Sanchez would have stayed. Yes, he'd push for £300k / week. But he would have stayed.
0% agreement with last part. He was always going to get market wage, which is apparently 500K!!

The better argument is we could have extended him two years ago for 300K. Now? 0%

A lot of people are hurt but there’s no one to blame but the club itself. If we had showed some ambition and won the Premier League during the time he played here we would’ve been in a better situation to keep him. How much money he makes at another club is completely irrelevant considering us and Man Utd are completely on different level as far as ambition goes.

Are we going to label Özil as a money grubbing whore as well? Don’t be the butthurt ex, it’s pathetic.

Good job they got a **** manager united building a decent team. Hard not to be sad he is leaving man. This is a good deal in the situation though, and what are the chances of Özil leaving now, anything?

Özil will sign a new contract according to Alan Smith.
