Almunia 7 - good game for a change

Eboue 7 good job
Gallas 8 excellent, amazing tackle on Ngog
Vermaelen 6 marking him down a point for making a run to the other box in the 89th minute
Clichy 7 looking back to his old self

Song 7 - Solid
Diaby 8 MOTM - professional performance topped off with game winning goal. Class throughout.
Fabregas 5 - off form, looked jaded

Arshavin 7 - worked much harder and looked like the only who was likely to pick a pass before he went off
Rosicky 6 - lovely assist but other than that poor enough
Bendtner 7 - lacking a bit of match sharpness but a good contribution, his involvement in the goal should be noted

Theo 4 - a mess
Nasri 7 - was giving Insua a torrid time before he went off
Sagna - n/a

Almunia 7 - match winning save for one

Eboue 6.5 decent shift
Gallas 8 - brilliant tackle on Ngog
Vermaelen 7 - solid if a little haphazard at times
Clichy 7 - his best game yet since his return

Song 7 - Solid
Diaby 8 - defensively he's improved immenseley
Fabregas 6.5 - not great but effort was there

Arshavin 7 - had dangerous moments
Rosicky 6 - nice assist but shocking otherwise
Bendtner 7 - worked hard and gave the pool defenders problems

SUBS
Walcott 0 - seriously, saying it was schoolboy from him would be an insult to the schoolboys. That pass to the keeper at the end is unforgiveable.
Sagna 5
Nasri 5

Almunia.....7.....he made a save...yesssss! Poor distribution and flapped a cross though.

Eboue.....6....some good play, other clownish play. Not a lad I want in the trenches.
Gallas...8.5...MOTM....immense. Last ditch takle saved us.
TV.....7
Clichy....7...good game finally.

Fabregas......5...another below-par big game.
Song....5...clumsy at times. Average since his return from ACN.
Diaby.....8....excellent game. Some bad errors but in general he was superb.

Rosicky.....6
Bendtner.....7
Arshavin....7

Sagna....6...won a few headers when he came on.
Theo.....1....poor
Wenger.....5.....should have left Nik on, no matter how sluggish he was. We lost all attacking impetus when he went off.

Al-7- good all round performance. His distribution mirculously looks a lot better when he’s got bendtner to lump it to. I will give him credit for the late save though it looked at bit like he got his technique wrong and nearly palmed it straight into the roof of the net- still, whatever he did worked.

Eboue-8- I think he made the difference today. Liverpool did try and squeeze us liek manure and Chelsea but we were more than happy to go out to our fullback on the right and he made a number of incisive runs and clever passes. Good defensively also.

Galas-8- good, one vital tackle

Vermaelen-8- good

Clichy-7- actually looked like he was paying attention today- strong offensively and defensively

Song-6- okay

Diaby-8 –really really good, good goal

Cesc-6- okay. When asked if he handballed- “There was so many decisions that he got wrong that one more doesn’t really make a difference. It was 50:50 in the end” which is true. And Gerard’s dive in the build up was despicable- I dislike that guy a little bit more every time I see him.

Nasri-6- alright considering he seemed to play most of his half hour almost unconscious

Arshavin-6- okay

Bendtner-8- actually playing with a striker really helped us. Strong presence- some good play, sloppy finishing but hey- that’s how adebayor always was. Should have won a penalty- he did not dive, unlike Gerard.

Rosicky-7- one ridiculous moment of indecision, one great cross

Walcott-4- the worst decision I have ever seen a professional footballer make when he had the chance to play for time but just slided it in the 6 yard box for reina

Sagna-6- solidified us a bit

Referee was atrocious, getting decisions wrong right left and centre against both sides. One of the worst refereeing performances I have seen in ages. Gave bendtner a booking for a dive when it was a clear penalty, gave a freekick against fabregas that wasnt, missed an despicable dive from gerrard in the build up to that free kick. Missed a fabregas handball from that freekick, and then there was just a bunch of corners/throws going the wrong way.

But we looked up for it, didn’t play brilliantly- but took our best chance which was where we needed to improve.

Also, I loved wenger's quote before the game when asked if we had to win

"we have to die; we want to win"

The man is in a class of his own!!

vermaelen had loads of spaces and was right in front of goal, if only theo had lifted it beyond those two pool defenders. 2-0,5 minutes, game over. Who cares now anyways.

Almunia-7..standard goalkeepergame.But generally speaking, too right handed,imo.
Eboue- 7 Did enough to fill in.
Gallas-8
vermaelen-8
clichy-7

Song-7
Diaby-8-another of his good games.
Fanregas-6-drowsy performance. Loved his final minute on the field though.

Arshavin-7.5 Star among the 22 players on the ground.
Rosicky-7 for the assist. Else, why is he playing like wenger's 30 year olds who are handed out one year contracts.
Bendtner-7 .

Almunia -7- Could actually goalkick to bendtner which helps, but the save was immense, really if hes going to want a confidence point this season to build on and up his game make it that.

Eboue -7- good energy, was much better when pushing forward he might be brainless on the pitch but the driving runs I've kinda missed.

Gallas -9- Hard done to find a better defensive game from anyone this season, Will at his best, the diving tackle to save our asses was the game changer.

Vermaelen -7- Solid, never troubled by Ngog, bizzare runs forward at the end of the game though.

Clichy -8- Welcome back son, see Almunia.

Song -7- Played his job well tonight, didn't push to far forward leaving big gaps like in previous big 4 games recently looks like the last few days hes worked better on psitioning.

Diaby -9- Giant, going from strength to strength.

Cesc -6- Pools game was to nulify Cesc on the pitch it worked to an extent, loved his post game interview.

Arshavin -7- Much more influential now he doesn't have tog et battered and bruised every two mins as the most forward striker.

Rosicky -6- Should of put us one up that was inexcusable and would of taken an immense save I'd only want Arshavin ahead of him in that position to put that in the back of the net but he just did nothing? worked the right wing alot better in teh second half though

Bendtner -7.5- Put in a shift, provided exactly what was missing the strength and power in the air to not gift possesion back so often to the opposition, lets hope he gets back to full fitness fast.

Almunia 7 - Made no mistakes and he made a crucial save.

Eboué 7 - Sometimes sloppy but I liked his forward runs especially in the 2nd half.
Gallas 8 - Rock solid, great tackle on Ngog.
Vermaelen 7 - solid as always and great in the air.
Clichy 7 - Solid made no mistakes. He was his old self today.

Song 7 - Decent, sometimes very sloppy and unaware of danger.
Diaby 8 - Great, Scored a great goald and did an good allround job and kept Gerrard in his pocket.
Fabregas 6 - Average did nothing of note and was pretty sloppy.

Arshavin 7 - Good game with some nice flicks and passes
Nasri 6 - Did okay until he was subbed.
Bendtner 7 - Missed him in the previous games. Good hold up play and kept their defenders busy.

Rosicky 6 - Bottled some chances but made a good assist.
Walcott 4 - Awful, no idea with the ball whatsover.

That'll do me! Didn't think either side was great tonight, nice to see us grind out a win and keep a clean sheet for once.

Agree with this. I'll bump Clichy to a 7.
