There are plenty of new threads in the Arsenal Talk, people just seem to forget we play some games too...

Almunia, Eboue, Silvestre, Song, Clichy, Walcott, Denilson, Fabregas, Diaby, RvP and Ade for me. If Nasri and Toure are not fit of course.

----------Almunia

Eboue---Djourou---Silvestre---Clichy(c)

-------Denilson--Cesc--Diaby

Theo---------------------------Nasri
---------------Ade

for me. And if Djourou or Nasri are injured, then Song and Van Persie to come in.

I'd settle for a draw as being in Fenerbache will be very tough but do think we can win if Ade is on form. If he's not I can see us struggling to score.

What Wenger will probably do:

Almunia
Eboue Song Silvestre Clichy
Nasri Denilson Diaby van Persie
-----------Fabregas
-----------Adebayor

I'm thinking a draw here.

As much as i really dislike the 4-5-1 setup, in europe away it would probably be wise, this Fenerbahce team are a real handfull at home yet only managed a 0-0 with Kiev a team they would of realisticaly had to get 3 points if they wanted to reach the next stage of the competition.

our lineup for the Away game V's Kiev was....

--------Almunia---------
Sagna-Toure-Gallas-Clichy
Walcott-Song-Cesc-Denilson
-----RVP----Ade-------

...it wasent to great we pulled off a draw in the final minuets via Gallas and his usual 'i'll play as a striker' antics.

Crowding out the midfiled and hitting Fener on the break or atleast making it difficult to get the ball back would work well for us, i tihnk we have enough quality to go there and win but i'd take a point.

Hoping Nasri is fit, hes adapted to the EPL very well so far would be nice to see if he could be as influential in Away games especially in the harsher environments of european football.

I'd play a team like this:

-------------- Almunia --------------
Sagna* - Djourou* -- Silvestre - Clichy
--------------- Song ------------------
Walcott - Denilson -- Fabregas - Nasri*
-------------- Adebayor --------------

* = If fit

I am not sure how Fenerbahce have played this season under a new manager - I think last season's very attacking home performances with a poor defence would have been easy to play on the counter against.
If they have kept that basic style I can see us winning, although in a very hostile and brilliant atmosphere a draw wouldn't be the worst result.

Well I see it´s not possible to think up a line-up when everyone is half alive, half dead. We will have to wait until tomorrow, Wenger will say Sagna, Gallas, Toure, Djourou, Nasri, Rosicky and Eduardo all out and we will play with Reserve. I would take a draw...

Exactly the line-up I'd go for, with maybe Diaby instead of Denilson. His ball retention and height will be a big help.

Don't see us winning this one. Fener are a great team and are always hard to play against at their own base. I see a 1-1 here, with Cesc to equalize.

Fener is struggling badly in their own league, havent set the CL alight either.

Hope we could capitalise and get a win. In an ideal world with djourou gallas toure rosicky eduardo bendtner out, i would play

almunia
sagna song silvestre clichy
walcott cesc diaby denilson nasri
ade

fabianski
vela
rvp
ramsey
eboue
hoyte
gibbs

They have been very poor but given our awayday east of Vienna record I'll take the point.

.. people are dropping Robin of all the players? The guy missed alot of chances but come on.
We're going to start with:
Almunia
Sagna*/Eboue-Gallas*/Song/Toure*-Silvestre-Clichy
Theo-Cesc-Denilson-Nasri*/Song-Robin
Ade

lol That clears it up! A lot of injury concerns.

I watched Fenebahce Vs Chelsea last season and Fenebahce were very impressive, fully deserved their victory. They're a decent team and travelling to Turkey is never easy. I think we can get 3 points but 1 point wouldn't be a disaster.

Fenerbahce were good last year. This year they've become awful, somehow.

I'd be happy with a clean sheet.

------------almunia
eboue - djourou - silvestre - clichy
--------------song
walcott - fabregas - denilson - diaby
------------adebayor

fabianski, bendtner, van persie, vela, randall, gibbs, wilshere

adebayor's experience trumps his bad form, otherwise i'd go with bendtner.

It might be something like that Kami, but Song, Denilson, and Diaby in the same midfield scares me more than it would Fener. I'd definitely have RvP in there.

Is Van Persie injured?

No reason to be so conservative, Fener have been terrible so far this season, and we don't need to give them so much respect.

They aren't nearly the same side that did so well last year.

2 up front, play Ade to give him a bit of confidence, but give Nik a game as well, and make sure Vela comes on before the end.

Gallas, Sagna and Bendtner are all still out. Toure, Djourou and Nasri all might be good for tomorrow, but it is still uncertain.

This is going to be a tough match against an underperforming Fenerbahce side. Hopefully we can get three points, but 1 point seems realistic.

With so many defenders out of doubtful, I'd expect to see a 442 based upon the 2nd half v Everton. Those players that are doubtful / walking wounded should be on the bench at best.

Al
Eboue-Silvestre-Song-Clichy
Walcott-Cesc-Denilson-Diaby
Ade-RVP

Fabs-Ramsey-Vela+walking wounded if required.

Depending on our injuries this match may give some indication as to where AW's priorities / thinking lies - we have WHU, Sp**s & Stoke as our upcoming PL matches & it will be a big ask to expect these same players to play 3 matches in 7 days this early. This is not a do or die match for the CL, unlike the situation in the PL - we can drop the game & still qualify - does/should AW look to his fringe players????
