Nice quote, but I stay away from that site. One ***** was waxing lyrical about Gibbs, proclaiming him to be Sagna's successor at left back. Seems like anyone can write a piece over there.

Bleacher Report in general is the poor man's ESPN, but there are still rare gems like this (and the Arsenal "lack of ambition?" article).

Brilliant analysis of our tactics, discipline, and shape:

Some of those images of our two banks of four without the ball are just lovely.

I agree to an extent, but unlike those guys, Gervinho cannot physically contest with centre backs, hold up the ball, etc.

Que the picture of Gerv lifting those weights lol.

Gibbs and Jenkinson along with Gervinho are the 3 players who are furthest forward

That's some engine both of them have! 8))

That screenshot brings back some memories 8))

Ye, same here. Very fond memories, even though it has been just three days. :D

Vinci, that old back four were famous for holding up their arms in synchronicity, so the linesman saw the offside. The linesmen knew they were so good, that he'd usually raise his flag as soon as he saw them!

real question Vinci, how long have you been following Arsenal? no judgement, just curious

The first Arsenal kit I got was the 2001-2002 home shirt, so around that time. I was 12 back then, so it took me a while to save up enough money for the shirt.

Back then, I didn't follow Arsenal as intensively as I do now, though. They rarely showed English games on Dutch TV and internet was limited.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying about the raised arms. :)

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
