It appears to me that rubiales over-acted in the hope it got him noticed, the hope being he could get an even bigger job based on his emotion shown for the women's game.

This kiss was misjudged, on that alone it should have been an apology and a claim of the moment overtaking him. This combined with the earlier cotch grab however really has put him in an untenable position.

I see his stance, if the kiss on its own is being judged this is a massive over-reaction. The grab has however impacted the scrutiny of his actions.

In the end he will go and women's football will suffer for it. The majority of women have no real interest in it, weirdly men are their target viewing audience and many will switch off based on feeling it is all a bit too 'woke' for their tastes. The fact hermoso is a lesbian means men will focus on there being a different agenda, other than focusing on him overstepping the line
