This is only true for players that haven't proven themselves at the top level. If you're a genuine star for Barca, Real, Bayern etc, you're not going to struggle. You're too good at that point.

It's not the same as coming from a club like Sevilla or Udinese. If you've established yourself as one of the main players at Barca, you're good enough to play for any other team in the world. You'd likely be the guy at any other team except for Real.

Hell, fringe Barca/Real starters often leave to get more playtime and establish themselves as top players elsewhere.
Spare wheel, Alexis, posted Henry stats in his 2nd season here... for a supposed broken team

Fringe starter Yaya Toure joined Man City and immediately became on of the best players in the league, basically ushering in the Oil Era.

Only thing Ronaldo really has over Messi is that his dominated in three different teams and leagues, Messi's never left the comfort of Barcelona.

Messi didn't have real reason to leave Barca. They were in their peak for the most of the time when he was there and he carried them in tough times.Don't know why he would be worse in some other club or other league.

Fabregas also didn't have best time in Barca, apart from his first season when Pep was there.Different story in EPL.Think that style of play can be big factor as well.

This is it, the truly elite players don't struggle. It is a test, though, of whether you are, or if your **** mentality has you crying to your agent.

If it means nothing then why do some players struggle when switching leagues and countries? You can’t claim his proved it when his spent his entire career at Barcelona, no where near the same thing.
We’ve already seen him topple the best teams across all of Europe. He’s done it when he was a teenager, when Barcelona were the best team in the world, and during these later stages of his career. Don’t understand why he needs to wear a United kit for his dominance to all of a sudden become valid.

What? I’ve never once said his dominance wasn’t valid.

All sorts of factors come into play when a player moves clubs. It’s something that Ronaldo has done and Messi hasn’t, that’s is literally all I said, stop being such a fanboy.

That part isn’t specifically directed at you, but it’s been suggested plenty of times that because Messi has only experienced success with Barcelona that it somehow diminishes his greatness. Call me fanboy if you want, but the single vs multiple team argument is absolutely ridiculous.

The goal was magical, it was a simple reminder to everyone that he's an absolute genius. Under immense pressure but to keep his composure for the first and second touch to be perfect and then score so emphatically is just out of this world.

With the foot many people say he can't use.

at last, Messi puts in a performance we can use to compare him with the GOAT(Ronaldo)

Exactly.

Let's also not forget Messi is younger and has played fewer games. In 3 years, he'll be well ahead of what Ronaldo is now.
With superior talent, with better players...still needs three more years.

Career goals and assists:
Leo Messi: 867. Cristiano Ronaldo: 866.

Messi has played 149 games less...

Imagine what his record will be at the old age of Ronaldo, who must be thinking of collection pension soon.

Only if you’re using it as a means of separating the two. Messi is a level above Ronaldo, it shouldn't even be a debate. I just think being proven in multiple leagues should be respected.

Is it really any different to people calling Pep a fraud because his only managed great teams?

Think you either mean first or third. His second was his 'worst' full season here statistically.

"Ronaldo has proved in 3 different leagues...". Are you sure of that ? 2 championship of 9 years in Spain it's a shame for a club like the Real Madrid.

"Ronaldo has bad teammates in Portugal..." Without the Portugal defence Ronaldo wouldn't win the Euro because he was décisive only 2 games of 6 and "bad teammates" won the final without him, Without Quaresma, Portugal would lose against Iran.

Arsenal Quotes

When I am asked why I stayed at Arsenal so long.. my answer is simple; I never wanted to be anywhere else. I could have earned a lot more elsewhere, but that wouldn't compensate for all the good years at Highbury.
