Looks like that Arteta wants the player who could comfortably play on both wings. Only other option is Yeremy Pino(?).

The pre injury Neto that benched Jota was absolutely electric, he is a baller but there are questions as to whether he can get back to that level. Wolves would want a massive bid, £70m 'ish to tempt them to sell this late in the window and that is a massive risk.

I know he is young and raw but I am leaning more towards Mudryk at the moment, his pace looks frightening, would add a different dimension we haven't had since peak Walcott.

He only signed new contract in March. He won't be cheap. If the club want him then I'm all for it. Let's see...

Most exciting winger target we can go for, injury concern is the only question mark.

In his breakout season, 6g 5a as a 20 year old in a super defensive Wolves team isn't too shabby btw

Might be difficult to find a middle ground with Wolves in regards to the price though.

ESR, Martinelli, Saka, Jesus, Nketia, Ødegaard, Vieira, and Neto.

If we sign Neto and maybe Tielemans, that means we are fighting for the title

Fantastic player yet unattainable if we're also looking for CM/DM cover as mentioned earlier he signed a contract extension last March.

Which would make Wilf Zaha the safer option.

Jota went for 40 upto 45 million. I cant see us paying much more that.

Negotiations between Arsenal and Nice over a loan move for Nicolas Pepe provide the north London club with a potential opportunity to sign a new winger before the transfer market closes.

Though an addition will only be made if Arsenal can afford it and think it is going to improve their options, several candidates have come under serious consideration.

After securing Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to spend extortionately and they are conscious of financial fair play limitations.

The top target at present, The Athletic has learned, is Pedro Neto of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Talks are said to have been taking place for more than a month and central to the dialogue is the intermediary Jorge Mendes, who represents Neto and is closely linked to operations at Molineux.

Conversations so far have involved Mendes liaising with Arsenal and Wolves separately. While the interest from the Emirates Stadium is concrete and unanimous, their counterparts do not plan to sell the 22-year-old this summer. Neto extended his contract in March, committing him until 2027.

It is unclear what level of finance it might take for Wolves to contemplate letting one of their key men depart, but discussions are ongoing as Arsenal explore whether a deal could be achievable.

Previously in the window, suitors for Neto were led to believe that he was unavailable or felt the Portugal international would be too costly. But the arrival of Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Nunes into coach Bruno Lage’s attack may be interpreted by admirers as creating an opening on Neto.

Does Ornstein's article allude as to whom makes up the rest of the supposed candidates we're looking at?

Wow, do we really have the money, or is there some gentleman's agreement with Neto, Mendes and Wolves to sell for a certain amount?

That's the only way I see him being affordable. Might be why he renewed to a four year deal.
