From a dortmund forum...

"Sadly, Auba needs to leave. I think the relationship between him and the club has deteriorated beyond repair. A lot of this has been due to his antics. He is actively pushing for a move, and has been for some time now. Keeping him, would only destroy the dressing room. "

That's why I said he may just be making an educated guess. He may or may not have been told something by somebody he knows at the club. We don't -- and can't -- know that one way or another.

As for these so-called "ITKs," I don't believe in them.

I made my living as a sports writer and editor for about 30 years (plus stints as a news reporter and as the managing editor of a paper). I consider very little of what I see surrounding Premier League transfers to be journalism. Mostly it's just speculation and rehashing the speculation of others. Sometimes they do hear things from agents or somebody within a club, but since they're not working in investigative journalism it's usually what the agent or the club wants out there, not anything they want hushed up.

My sources were usually coaches and people in administration. Then again, I also worked in college administration for three years as a sports information director. So sometimes I was the source.

Your work on the fjords of Norway was admirable too. You've been around the block, man!

We know this **** all too well. Nice not to be the victim this time (so long as we get him).

Yeah and it's nothing we don't know already but just reassuring to hear it from dortmund fans. Was reading their forum for a bit and the general consensus is that they need to keep him to get top 4 but also acceptance that he's a goner and it's now reached a point of no return for him.

Dortmund will likely to sell if we offer something between 60-65M I think they are accept the idea we won't be paying 70M and I don't think they'll for a player who want to leave.

I am not so sure. They refused to change their stance when Dembele acted in a disgraceful way for example.
