Nothing will make me happier than Dowd being done for match fixing. The fact that there is signs of match fixing is not surprising at all, very odd it's not him that is being investigated though...

I saw a blog that said Rosicky is being investigated because he was involved in two of the goals. Perhaps that is just a coincidence and Dowd is just to blame?

LOL this could get epic, but sadly its most definitely fake.

Another forum I post on, someone mentioned that Rosicky missed a pen in the Sunderland game, which eventually ended in a draw. The ref? Phil Dowd. hmmmmmm....

It sounds quite silly actually. Surely Interpol would be better off investigating drug cartels and whatever else they're supposed to investigate?

I see now, Rosicky was probably had Barton in on it too, hence the "collapse because his legs turned to jelly" fall when Rosicky gently brushed against him..

Don't think there is any truth to this at all. The club are refusing to comment on it because it then adds credibility to the rumour.

The actual report didn't accuse Rosicky of taking bribes please take note of that.

It actually says that they are looking into incidents involving Rosicky as far as I'm aware. This is more targeted at the officials (including Dowd) if true. E.g. the Pen and free kick that should never have been.

Please take no notice of it until something more concrete appears. Apparently the website it is from is the French version of CaughtOffside...

said it in the lobby, i'll repeat it here...reserving judgment til anything definite comes out, as I think everyone should. More ridiculous things have happened in football than a 4 goal comeback, doesn't mean everything is fixed and a player threw the game.

Curious coincidence with the sunderland game though.

Should they find anything against dowd, I wonder what the repercussions would be.

For what it's worth Graham Poll says the red on Diaby was justified, that Barton's challenge was legitimate  , Nolan should have been sent off and that the second penalty should not have been given.
