I think we’ll see Özil starting out wide or we’ll play a diamond/4-3-1-2 in away games with Pepe and Auba up front. Hopefully those two formations include Özil and Ceballos and not a midfield 3 of Torreira, Guendouzi and Xhaka.

Called it. Doesn’t speak well for Nelson.

If I accept your view, why did it take him 63 minutes to correct that mistake? Because that’s when he subbed Ceballos in for Torreira. He effectively handicaped us for 2/3 of the match.
Özil not match fit? Willock with a knock? The match wasn’t going so badly anyway, 63 minutes is quite early for a sub.

I do think he should have done it earlier as well anyway. But subbing off Lucas at HT would have been harsh.

Intrigued to see how Ceballos and Özil do together. Attack should be lethal. Defending? We shall see.

Good to see Özil involved and I hope he performs but when did he last even make an appearance in preseason? Gonna be rusty
