Wanyama always seemed to be beasting it more than Schneiderlin for me
Wanyama is limited, but he's a specialist. Schneiderlin does a little bit of everything, which is why overall, he'd have to be exceptional to be the kind of player we'd expect. I think that's why most people have some reservations about him; I always have, but wanted him because he was better than Arteta and Flamini.

Now we have Coquelin (trying not to get too hyped about his one good season), I don't feel he improves us enough to warrant a £25m fee. But, having said that, I guess that's only because I'm hearing about Vidal and Kondogbia being available for the same price, to be fair. If we could only get Schneiderlin for £25m, I'd take him in a heartbeat. We need the cover there and he can do the job as well as Coquelin (who's been excellent).

End of the day what job role is it for new player? I.e replace le coq or back up to him or play along side him?
I think we have to aspire to get someone better than him to play in his position, but we rotate them depending on the games. I don't think we'd want one sat on the bench weeping about a lack of chances, but really, we need to be able to lose one and bring the other in without missing a beat. That should always be the goal when building a squad of players. Ideally, we want both fit and both firing on all cylinders.

After the great success that Park Chu-Young was for us, let's get this guy and achieve our Korean market conquest :D

Tbf ki isnt that bad as some are making out. Personally i think he will be near the bottom of arsens and ivans list. Depends what he sees as most important.

I haven't really watched him a lot this season, but Swansea fans seem to rate him quite highly. Strange rumour though.

Anyway this KI is 26 years old, hardly going to improve from now on.

The weirdest thing is that when people say signing Vidal or Bender or players like them doesn't sound right. Why the hell are we building 60,000 stadium and building incredible finical balance if we are not going to push on and become one of the best club in Europe signing the best players available?
Very easy response : no pressure. We will sign one big player maybe Cech and the rest will be average because if we went Man City in the market people would want Wenger's head when he is 15 points away of Chelsea next year. Very smart really

Ki is a signing we would be happy to bring in 2008-12 period. I think our club should look for bigger names who could lift our squad to dominate midfields better.

Vidal (a daydream), Kondogbia, Bender or Gundogan are what we should be going after if midfield transfer is going to happen.

The only thing that Gundogan has ever dominated are probably an Burger King or McDonalds.

Would be an excellent Arteta replacement. As long as he's not too expensive, I think he's an excellent option to strengthen the squad.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go this route.

PEople have to ask, who's the best player we can get WHO WILL ACCEPT BEING A SQUAD PLAYER??? Because unless you want to see Coq moved on, do you? Then that's what we need.

No thanks. Mid-table quality player. We can do without anymore signings like this unglamorizing the club.

Arsenal Quotes

When I am asked why I stayed at Arsenal so long.. my answer is simple; I never wanted to be anywhere else. I could have earned a lot more elsewhere, but that wouldn't compensate for all the good years at Highbury.
