Players shouldn't feel too deflated because everybody they face goes home with a sore bum. Celta Vigo are La Liga's Leicester so to speak this season, they're a much more disciplined unit and despite them playing an almost perfect match against Barca last weekend, competing for the longest part of the game they conceded six in the end ffs.
The state of Celta's defending was almost Aston Villa's level at times. With barely an hour on the clock, they were clearing their lines and huffing and puffing as if it was the 90th minute. An almost perfect match it was far from. Barca's second goal was route 1 football, Messi lifting the ball over the top of Celta's static defence and Suarez simply run behind and latched onto it. Shocking defending all round and the problem with a lot of these Spanish teams is that they try and out-football the big sides rather than keep it simple and efficient. Celta spent a majority of the second half trying to dribble out of the back rather than get the ball forward quickly on the break and they kept turning over possession.
I think Barca will have to go up a few gears against us than what we saw and I don't dispute they can. Their back five gives us a chance and a mobile front 3 is a must for us. I can see Wenger picking Ox, Theo and Sanchez.

We can't defend and that's why we can't beat Barca. It's simple.I don't count only Bayern from 2013 beacuse they were machine that year and Barca played pretty average.Other teams beat Barca with great defence and good counter-attack football.Think that we only can do one of those two things.

Been disapointed too many times - if we do well and look like winning, the ref will either screw us or one of our players will - at least it wont be Woj or Ospina this time.

Maybe Giroud will headbutt Messi - I would kind of like to see that though

We can't keep goals out at home against poor premier league sides.
There is no way we're gonna be able to stop their crazy front 3 at home....

We're in our worst goal taking form ever.

I'm an atheist, I believe in facts not faith, you guys that think we can do it over 2 legs are fckn crazy, keep praying to that magical man in the sky.

Can't wait for the game though, it'll be great, this is why we need the CL.

"Simply run behind and latch to it" is literally 90% of all goals scored in every league. I'm not saying Celta don't make any defensive errors but you're setting the standard for them high while not taking into account the amount of mistakes made in England.

Take our win vs Leicester, Welbeck latched completely unmarked onto a ball that was put into the most obvious area to cross it into, if he hadn't gotten a touch Chambers and behind him Giroud would have; that's three players that could have scored against the league leaders in the very last second of the match. You wouldn't call Leicester "Aston Villa level" because of that either because that **** happens in football.

There is only one solution:

"Anti-football" is a lethargic passing style of football that relies only on passing and an extremely defensive, aggressive physical, robust style of play of football where one team deploys their whole team, except the striker, behind the ball.

It's factor of two things. As i see, spanish teams can't defend very well and they don't have some good game plan to play against Barca and Real. They try to play always the same way.I think that english teams can defend better than teams from La liga.Another factor is the power of Barca and Real. They can score a lot of goals for a short period.Overall it's mix of average defending and power offence in Barca and Real.

We have always scored against Barcelona every time we've played them in our entire head to head history hell we even scored against them without a single shot on target somehow at the Nu Camp last time.

I think we can win the home game but can we win the home game 4-1 or 5-1 like they will in Spain no I don't think we can.

Celtic beat Barca using defense and set piece.

This is some horseshit if I've ever seen some. You bring no arguments make literally zero sense and regurgitate the same points over a dozen or so posts, no offence but don't quote me if your posts make me feel dumber for reading them.

Arsenal Quotes

When I arrive at the gates of Heaven the Good Lord will ask "What did you do in your life?"
I will respond "I tried to win football matches."
He will say: "Are you certain that's all?"
"Well, that's the story of my life. It is not easy to win football matches, you know."
