Doesn't look anywhere near as good without Santi next to him. Sometimes it's all about how well you play with your teammates. Same reason Per and Kos are good together despite their own flaws.

With Ramsey in there he is being asked to pass more and that's not his game. If he's going to play, we need a true passer in there. That Ramsey/Coq partnership is barely better than Ramsey/Flamini
You just hit the nail on the head . Coq is being asked to do more than his job just like Flamini had to start passing from deep with Ramsey there .
But that's it, with Santi he is able to play exactly like that and it works. With Ramsey, Coq needs to be doing more passing due to how Ramsey is playing, but he doesn't because that's not his game. So we left with a need not being filled in the team. But he doesn't do that?
He had like 30 passes, that's nothing. Gabriel had 89, Kos 72, Ramsey 62.
He could at least try to offer himself as a passing option, but he just stands there and does nothing to help us forward.
that's hilariousAre we going to bank on that Cazorla stays fit for next 100 year so every player in the team can function properly?
No. We are going to buy a younger, better version of him (crosses fingers). Are we going to bank on that Cazorla stays fit for next 100 year so every player in the team can function properly?
And even if Cazorla is fit, he can only function in midfield next to Coquelin. The balance in the team is so ****ing fragile. We are so dependent on individual players making it all work rather than the system, it's not even funny anymore. Are we going to bank on that Cazorla stays fit for next 100 year so every player in the team can function properly?
Cazorla-Coq:
+ Allows us to play from the back and counter-attack.
- Lacks athleticism
- Lacks height
- Lacks midfield control
Ramsey-Coq:
+ Good mobility in midfield
+ Both players can put a tackle in
- Poor distribution
- Counter-attacks are a thing of the past
- Poor technique
Anyone-Flamini:
- ****
The state of us. Cazorla and Coqeulin is clearly the best partnership we have but it's easy to forget that anyone with a decent pair of legs could overrun us. We also couldn't control games as Coquelin is quite useless when we have the ball.
Lack of a defined system hurts us, one player gets injured and there's no one else who can do a similar job. The whole-team changes drastically, usually for the worst.
