Makoun plays for Cameroon and is therefore going to represent them in the African Nations. This means he is going to be absent for some games every two seasons.

Can we please re-open the Cana thread? As soon as Melo signed an extension, we are being linked to Cana like crazy.

Those links are way less outlandish and more substantive than the ones linking us to Benzema, Ribery, Yaya Touré, etc, and those players all have their own threads. What's the big idea?

Since this is a wishlist rather than a 'realistic transfer' list, I shall mention one Iker Casillas. A brilliant keeper, but perhaps more importantly, a genuine leader. This guy coordinates his defensive unit beautifully, dominates the box, and is a proper leader for the whole team. He's one I'd love to see at Arsenal.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
Naldo in, Kolo out. Inler in, Adebayor stays put. Net spend of around 10 million if Kolo goes to City.

My only realistic dream signing.

Where would you want him to play, ibby? Partnering Fabregas in the centre or out on the wings – I'd say both positions could use a new addition, especially the former.

Given his form this season in a central position (defensive minded also) definitely there. Seriously, when are the big four going to start to notice?

Not only will he strengthen us hugely (would make us title favourites in my opinion) but it also weakens our main rivals for fourth.

I think a 5 man midfield with Fab, Nasri and a DM would be even better.

Why complicate things? Just get our DM

I was more pointing out I'd rather that than Arteta and Fab in a 4-4-2. I don't think Nasri is better than Arteta yet though.

Arteta and Fab in a 442? I don't think it could work though, a little too easy to pass through for the center of our midfield. Defensively is Arteta able to take the load off cesc and allow him to play his natural game alla Flamini?

The great thing about Arteta is his versatility, he can play as a winger, CM, DM, AM and any other M you can think of.

As proven this season, yes.
