Good luck Theo

Been a good servant to the club while having some terrible luck with injuries

Doubt we'll see many players doing 10+ years at a club going forward.

I echo this sentiment.

Not half as bad as people make out in an Arsenal shirt. Quite frankly we've been dog without him anyway.

We need goals and output to replace him with (i.e Mahrez).

There was a time when our hopes almost rested on Theo. He was very highly rated by the fan base. Scorer of huge goals. Huge. You could never call him a bottler, that's for sure. Had more in that department than players like RvP etc.

What annoys me about his departure is that Wenger spent YEARS messing around with him. "Oh, I think he will be a great striker." -- No you don't Arsène. Tell the kid, he can't hold up the ball so he can't play up top, he should just stick on the wing and score goals that way. It's all this messing around with young players (Ox as CM is another example). Waste of time and effort.

There are many examples to support your statement but RvP??? He scored against every big club we faced

Did we/he just take the opportunity to leave when it came? Get the sense from his sale that we're not going to be seeing a two striker system that we'd all like. Surely you'd keep Theo as back up if that were the case?

The vast majority of big memorable moments post-stadium move involves Walcott in more ways than just him being on the pitch. Some of the best goals, greatest upsets etc. directly involved him.

Shame his career petered out towards the end of his Arsenal career, but to somehow pretend like he was a nothing player is not fair and reeks of recency bias.
