Pros of Theo:
1. Never said a bad thing about the club and thereby did not cause speculation and gossip
2. Scored some useful goals at times
3. Was a serious talent in 2006 and was exciting for the first five years
4. Left the club professionally and with respect

Cons:
1. No development as a player. Serious Lack of technical ability. Offered nothing besides pace and the odd goals.
2. Lasted so long and reached 100 goals largely due to Wenger’s favouritism. Would not have got such a long rope at any top European club.
3. A drain on the club’s finances through his wages.
4. Stagnation as a footballer and he himself acknowledged his bench role and was fine with being a squad player (lack of ambition)
5. A representative of Arsenal’s charity and spineless culture of late. Too passive and went invisible is many games.
6. Was “comfortable” at AFC with no pressure. This is a systemic problem though.

I wish him luck in his career but I don’t expect to see him play any better at his age. How well or How bad he performs depends more or less on how his future manager uses him.

Goodbye Walcott!

So long Theo. Think this will give him a shot in the arm. Totally stagnant here. Everton might get a year or so of decent performances out of him TBH. Not much more than that though.

Never fulfilled his potential at AFC. Some electric performances for sure. You always got the impression the less time had to think, the better he was.

All the best son, glad you got rid of that Scherzinger bird in the end.

Best of luck to him all the best.

Everton will have serious ambitions for the future with all the money they’re pumping into the club they’ll be a real force soon - better then Arsenal eventually of course

:rolleyes::(

Im one of 5 on here who was always on his good side. Little Theo. Good player. I dont think people gave him chance or understand his situation well enough. ACL injury has ended few careers. Theo did well always to come back after his injuries and has done well staying fit in recent years. But I wonder if he had to sacrifice something of his game because of it....

Good luck at new club!

Not only on that front, but with Mertesacker about to retire and injury problems for Cazorla and Koscielny, it really does feel like we're coming to the end of the line for a squad going back 10 years.

Did really well for us IMO. If you have Henry expectations for every quick player you’ll be disappointed 9 times out of 10. Not his fault.
Obviously had to go so a good deal for both parties. Wish him nothing but the best at Everton!
