We've already played Liverpool, Tottenham and United, 2of them away, and are third, one single point after last year's champions not bad in my view
This is brought up to counter the frequent argument that we’re in 3rd so everything is awesome. That argument we're only so many points from being down there etc. is a tad stupid. After 8 games, there is not going to be a big difference anywhere in the table.
And that we already played Liverpool Tottenham and United don't mean anything either ?This is brought up to counter the frequent argument that we’re in 3rd so everything is awesome.
This works both ways. The table doesn’t mean a lot at this point.
Not really when you consider the state of two of those clubs, and the fact that we struggle in every PL match we play, regardless of the supposed level of competition. And that we already played Liverpool Tottenham and United don't mean anything either ?
Slight irony in you postNot really when you consider the state of two of those clubs, and the fact that we struggle in every PL match we play, regardless of the supposed level of competition.
I know, we should be losing them like we used to not long ago. Can't believe the expectations of this forum for Arsenal, we should not be "grinding" out results to bloody Bournemouth at home, it's quite embarrassing.
Games of that type, against fodder, after a midweek European game.
You sure you remember right

Well we're carrying on the tradition then. Maybe if Emery is still here in 22 years, we'll be playing nicer football and winning by a few goals more too. When did we lose home games to the likes of Bouremouth really? We never did, even during Wengers last season, which was awful, we beat these types of teams with relative ease and actually played some decent football at times too.

Will you be saying that next year or the year after that?If we win, and win ugly, we win! I don't care! We are still in transition and we'll get there...patience being the virtue that it is...

.... and we are 3 points from 8th place!!
If we had a good manager we could be challenging Liverpool right now. Watford, Sp**s and United draws need not have happened, you all know its true. Now we are third, but make no mistake, we are slightly less awfull than the teams below us. In a normal season we’d be 7th right now.
This is the biggest issue which many naive people do not see. A better coach would have at least 21 points and have some sort of challenge for the title, but we will fight with Leicester and the like for top four.
We have issue with the midfield and Özil is being frozen out of the squad. Our number one creative midfielder. Xhaka is constantly playing despite being obvious he cannot defender nor attack. Making him the captain when the fans are clearly against him was a complete **** move.
3 out of 5 home. Anything less than 12 points is a disaster. Against Leicester, I'll be very happy with a point, that's how good they are at the moment.Sheffield, Palace, Wolves, Leicester and Soton... let’s see how many points we get.
He created those difficult circumstances. He failed to sign necessary players to win the league but used the excuse of not able to compete with City and Chelsea financially. Then he lost the title, which we led in January, to Leicester City.Wenger was a great manager in difficult circumstances who was hounded out by buffoons and lesser men. Many of them now turn on Emery because he's not Wenger. Loserville.
To be fair emery play a great hand there, knew xhaka was popular in the dressing room so let the players vote and guess who got the most votes, his favourite pet xhaka, cant deny he played it beautifully
Just a shame he plays a crap hand when it comes to playing football
