Hmm Sanchez injured in training leading up to Chile's crucial WCQ match vs Colombia huh...

Confirmed: Ospina was actually the Colombia dude on here talking reckless and summoning nefarious spirits and whatnot after we signed Cech.

That poster's butt-hurt level was off the charts for any normal fanboy, as it clearly personally hurt seeing Ospina dropped, but seeing the curse strike down Alexis while in a Chile top not an Arsenal one, but as he's about to line up against Ospina connects all the dots.

If this " 6 weeks " has any truth to it we're proper ****ed. Can't lose our most important player at a time like this with the games we've got coming up, especially with the league as tight with Chelsea and Pool in brilliant form, we'll risk losing serious ground on them.

Luckily we planned for this and bought Perez in the summer :)
To bad he's ****'ing injured as well :(

On a positive note, Wenger doesnt have the dilemma of if or when he should rest him, and Alexis has time to sit and read his new contract :)

That's a bit like saying, after crossing the road and getting hit and killed by a car, there's a positive side to it because you no longer have any dilemma about whether or not it's a good time to try crossing the road...

Yes Wenger doesn't have a dilemma because he just plays Alexis until he gets injured...last time he even played him when he was basically already injured.

Hardly a reason to be grateful for the lack of a dilemma.

Ha, get real. Injuring your calf muscle and getting killed by a car are similar?

Great analogy, only some people will understand.

Great analogy, only some people will understand.

Thank you. I was reasonably pleased with it. Unfortunately, as you say, I fear that the truth of the analogy is likely to be lost on some if they focus on the (irrelevant) differences between the two scenarios.

For any of those who didn't understand the first time. The whole reason for the dilemma faced by the manager about resting players in the first place is because, while he does want them to play and win, he doesn't want the player to get overplayed to the point of significantly reduced performance later in the season...injury typically being the most extreme and costly example (other than death)...

Similarly, the dilemma facing someone crossing the road is often that, while they do want to reach their destination, they generally would not want to be hit by a passing vehicle because it might hurt...death being the most extreme and costly example...

I suppose this news while bad is mitigated by the fact Walcott has been in decent form, Giroud is back and Ramsey is back. so Giroud starts with Theo out wide or Theo up top with Ramsey outwide.

It's not ideal but at least we have solutions we wouldn't had have two weeks ago.

Why so serieuse?

Yeah, its like after a crash, you think that the car got totaled but then find that the headlights are still intact.....(rocky started with the analogies)....

Arsenal Quotes

When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong.
