So true, RTC. He spends far too long trying to get himself settled, before he is even in a position to play a pass. Bergkamp could play the way he did, because his first touch was almost always a pass. He didn't even need to control the ball, because he already knew where to pass it, and his technique allowed him to do that, without the need to get settled.
