During our unbeaten run we were lucky not to draw or lose some of these games what happening now is good reminder we are far from Liverpool City even Sp**s

Had enough chances to go a couple of goals up within half an hour but our forwards made some inexplicably poor decisions. Kolasinac was constantly free because Zabaleta was following Iwobi in field. It would’ve opened the game up and left more spaces for us to exploit on the break if Aubamazette lifted their heads up and looked for someone other than themselves.

Once West Ham scored they sat back, defended deep and there was no space for or wing backs to run into. Laca and Auba are both very poor with their back to goal and on crosses so our only option was to look for passes to their feet.

Games are decided on moments like the opportunity Laca had 2 mins after Wedt Ham scored to square it to Auba for a tap in, but took 3 extra touches. It’s **** like that which gets forgotten but shapes our destiny over 90 minutes.

The way some of you are putting stuff like that on Guendouzi and Emery is laughable. It’s actually a joke. Low hanging fruit, including a 19 year old who’s at least trying to inject urgency in our play.

Last point here is crucial. I wonder if where Emery might ultimately fail is in the intangibles. Do we believe in him? Is there a strong enough source of energy for everyone to rally around?

At the moment he’s unfortunately quite a dry figure and our style of play is quite shapeless. It means that when results go south there’s nothing for fans to cling onto.

If Mourinho became too much of a presence that he overshadowed the team, is Emery in fact not enough of a presence?

Definitely seems to be big problems between Unai and Mesut.

Has to also be said though, that Mesut giving fans updates on his fitness on social media to potentially try and make the manager look bad isn't going to endear himself.

What is your problem? You're an embarrassment.

My problem is your use of misogynistic language on a public forum. If you don’t understand why that’s a problem, then re-educate yourself or just stay away from the 21st century, cos you’re not cut out for it.

People are in for a surprise if they think things will change with someone like Pellegrini, Arteta or Eddie Howe in charge. Our squad is not good enough, simple as. Its not like Emery wants to change the defence every single game, but what fecking choice does he have? I doubt any manager has had the same amount of defenders out and for such long periods in his first 6 months in charge of a club.

People on here were wanking all over Sarri when he took over, and they look even worse than us, despite spending much more and not had anything close to our amount of injuries. Without Hazard they would be out of top 4 weeks ago.

Poch and Klopp, everyone´s darlings, STILL has not won feck all.

Start supporting the club and the manager, not individual players who make millions a year despite not performing.

Özil's own account has been giving fitness updates , including him doing split squats...... maybe that's how he did his knee.

Why didn’t the genius Sven identify Diop. He’ll develop into a van dijkesque defender, completely dominates attackers. Not as good on the ball but competent enough

Arsenal’s spokeperson confirmed to the media before the game that he was left out for tactical reasons, Emery did too after the game.. Özil did not contradict any club statement

I think partly it’s his level of English, but the Özil thing is embarrassing.

It’s like Barcelona leaving out Suarez or Messi and Valverde saying ‘We hve lost without him’

No, its absolutely not the same, not even remotely the same. Suarez and Messi are world class players that have performed for years. Özil has had 1 good game this season.

We shall see how big the rift is or if emery has learned from today when the next match squad I see released I would like to think Özil will be in it.

Not good enough. Big focus was on our lack of control in the game. Conceded too much space for West Ham and gave them too many corners.

He thought the result was harsh because we created more chances than West Ham but equally we conceded too many chances to them which were easy for them to score from.
If he believes that then he's delusional. We went 25 mins without a shot at the end. And even though we had the same amount of shots as West Ham, almost half of ours were speculative long distance shots from Guendouzi and others.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
