Hi all,

Just a quick one. I've been on the path from the Extra Preliminary Qualifying Round of this season's FA Cup, all the way to the Final, writing about each club along the way and I've reached the Final with Arsenal, after your Semi-Final victory over Reading last month.

https://marklitchfieldblog.wordpress.com/fa-cup-20142015/final-arsenal/ - in here is my piece on your club, put together with the help of a few fans, plus the view from the Villa end and comments from everyone that has helped me out along the way (if you wish to see the whole journey, scroll to the bottom - feel free to take a look).

Thanks and best of luck on Saturday.

I know it's all about winning but can we please play well at wembley for once??

FA Cup finals in general don't tend to be great, rarely do teams express themselves and play great stuff.

Could be pressure, the Wembley pitch, build up etc. For me, these games are about just winning, get the job done.

Winning this truly slams it down flat on the table that we have made progress, and are continuing to make progress.

Losing this makes the club become slightly toxic before the beginning of the next season. We need this more than Villa if we want to challenge for the title next year. I'd be way more comfortable if we were against a collapsing Liverpool side.

Oh well.

if we play our game we'll win this easily play this game like we did against Reading we'll lose it. i think it's important in this game for us to score an early goal and settle the nerves.

Not even a bit nervous for this one. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. If you're fortunate enough to go have a great time!

Here's us trouncing the chavs to get you guys even more in the mood. Freddie Ljungberggggggggggg

My favourite FA Cup moment - what a game, amazing goals and what a season!

Freddie was just unstoppable in the run in.

Those were the days eh? When we had the Chavs in our pocket - all we had to do was pretty much turn up and we'd beat them.

Pre Roman. Oil money + new stadium debt swung it their way, but we're on the come back...

My favourite FA Cup final moment is Sunderland's goal v the Mancs in 1979. Great end to a bizarre match. Didn't even hate the Mancs that much those days as I hate them now.
