I thought our attack was poor tbh, as the above passing map shows. Welbeck and Iwobi had no final ball, and Lacazette did poorly with the few chances he had (though tbf to him, they were few). Having no Özil showed, we struggled to create anything through the middle. Our midfield and defense were brilliant though, they got a well-deserved clean sheet.

Our attacking game was as good as it gets when you are short on confidence facing PL Champions in away game.

This is how we as a 3rd tier team in league should set up away games against top teams. Defend well and hope for 2-3 chances. We did that today.

Well done.

Its what you call an excellent away performance against the champions at a ground we've lost consistently for 6 years.

We had better opportunities then them. Could have knicked it! We were a match for them.

Glad Özil didn't play, we probably would've lost...the guy is a defensive liability (half hearted attempts to block or talcke dont cut it in the tight games)...glad to see the whole team defended with heart and played like men!

Was really impressed with the boys today, didn't let us fans down. We fought for the badge, we committed smart fouls to slow the game down when necessary, barely gave Chelsea a sniff and if we had a little luck or was a bit more clinical we could've won quite comfortably. The result was never really in doubt at any moment today so well done.

Big shout out 2 wenger for today's performance, was well organised and disciplined. Managed to get Ramsey and xhaka playing as a 2 rather than individual's and the defence and whole team was solid.

P.s. Please can we take this approach from now on in tough tricky away fixtures, rather than trying to play our own game all the time.

That passing network is incredibly well balanced and highlights the effective contributions of Ramsey, Monreal and Iwobi. Lacazette a bit isolated is the only negative.

It's funny, because I just see two channels straight through the formation that Chelski failed to exploit. It is still a major worry that Arsène considers Ramsey to be a central midfielder.

He played well today in the attacking position and I would like to see him there instead of Özil with Elneny behind plugging the gaps.

The amounts of shots we give up in & around our box has to be a concern vs the bigger teams... 18 vs Liverpool & 13 today all in good areas. Better finishing or Costa/ Hazard starting & we are in trouble.

Some vital last second blocks from the defence & midfield but not sustainable.

One thing I will say is this was one of the poorest Chelsea attacks we've faced in recent memory. Morata is the opposite to Drogba and Costa when it comes to physicality. They could bully centre halfs for fun and it allowed their midfield to push up and support. Morata couldnt make anything stick and kept looking for cheap fouls.

Liverpool were far more dangerous and they got their midfield balance correct by going with th 3.

Without Özil, we cannot create goals. With Özil in, we will have a rubbish midfield. At least now when we have no Özil, we managed to get 1 point, but when he is in, we will get o points against top teams.
